Villages are community-driven spaces that run throughout BSidesDayton 2027, offering hands-on activities, informal workshops, demos, and conversations. Each village is independently organized and creates its own unique experience within the event, providing attendees with opportunities to connect through shared interests and explore specialized topics in depth.
Unlike traditional conference tracks, villages operate continuously from 10 AM to 5 PM throughout the event, creating immersive environments where learning happens through doing, experimenting, and engaging directly with tools, techniques, and fellow practitioners. Whether you're interested in hardware hacking, social engineering, cryptography, or any other specialized area, villages offer a space to dive deep and connect with like-minded individuals.
Interactive experiences where you can learn by doing, experimenting with tools, and practicing techniques in a supportive environment.
Casual, interactive sessions that encourage questions, collaboration, and peer-to-peer learning without the formal structure of main track talks.
Real-time demonstrations of tools, techniques, and technologies that you can observe, ask questions about, and sometimes try yourself.
A space to meet others who share your interests, exchange ideas, build relationships, and become part of specialized communities within the security field.
